Product Description

At the foot of Mount Lassen lies a still water that has become synonymous with fly-fishing: Manzanita Lake.

Manzanita Lake sits just inside the Lassen Volcanic National Park. It is a wonderland for trout and fly-fishers. The lake has deep holes lined with weed beds and shallow flats with manzanita islands spread throughout the rich lake. Logs, structure and crystal clear water awaits the angler. This lake is world famous, with amazing Carpenter Ant, Callibaetis and the Motorboat Caddis hatches to fuel the trout and fly-fishers dreams.

The Manzanita Lake Tour is a one day tour, consisting of access areas around the lake, hatches, fly selection, rigging, techniques and time spent fishing.

Our Manzanita Lake fly fishing trips are conducted on public lands administered by Lassen Volcanic National Park. Lance Gray & Company operates under permit from Lassen Volcanic National Park on a non-discriminatory basis.

Transportation, a lakeside lunch, beverages, and snacks during the day. Handouts for the tour will include maps, access areas, flies, special setups, equipment recommended and other special features that pertain to the fishery. A complete list of all equipment needed is attached to the confirmation package.

Guests must possess a valid California fishing license and need to bring their own equipment and wading gear (equipment can be rented, if needed).
