Depth Setter

Mark Antaramian a local guide up at Almanor has come up with a nifty little tool that gives you the depth of the water without using a depth finder. It is called the Depth Setter. It comes in small and medium weights and it works great. Simply attach it to your fly and cast out. Once your flies sink to the bottom you can gage the length of your chironomid leader and set your indicator correctly. A must have in any fly fisher’s arsenal.
